Cley18

Having spent yesterday stewarding the Cley18 exhibition, at St Margaret's Church also at the Visitor Centre and the beach, Cley, I had a good chance to look at the amazing diversity of the work, beautiful ceramics, paintings, prints and textiles, at the show titled 'The Greater the Distance the Clearer the View' on till 5th August, well worth a visit. The image is my print contribution called 'Growth'. I walked and collected at monthly intervals plant material from the route of the three exhibition venues showing the seasonal changes in plants from December 2017 to June 2018. These are sun prints.

Cley18 exhibition is just around the corner, starting on 5th July until 5th August, in Cley Church, the Visitor Centre and the beach, private view on the 4th July. Images of part of my piece, flower sun prints drying.

Went to the Private View of the inaugral exhibition for the opening of Wells Next The Sea, Maltings, which is an exciting newly refurbed centre for theatre, cinema and the arts.The exhibition is on until September and well worth a visit, there are some gorgeous works of art on the walls.

Norwich and Norfolk Open Studios

I am gearing up now busily framing work and getting my garden studio ship shape for  Norfolk Open Studios, which starts on Saturday 26th May till Sunday 10th June 2018.

I am number 107 in the brochure so if you have time and are interested in seeing me print do pop along. I am open 26th, 27th, 28th of May - 1st, 2nd, 3rd  and 8th, 9th, 10th of June, 10 am till 5pm.

Art In Action

After enjoying the very highly regarded and professional arts event for years as a visitor, I am delighted to say I have been invited to demonstrate my printmaking techniques in the Printmakers marquee at 'Art In Action' 2016. The craft event runs from 14th till 17th July and is held in the delightful grounds of Waterperry Gardens and Garden Centre. The event encompasses drama, readings, storytelling, have a go crafts, for adults and children, music, painting, ceramics, textiles etc a long and exciting list as well as scrummy foods, what more can we ask.
